BioShock & The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Bundle

2K Games has just announced a BioShock & The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Bundle. Starting July 7th, you can own both games on the Xbox 360 for $39.99, or for $29.99 on Windows PCs.

That's a great deal for two Game of the Year winning games. Two of my personal favorite games, a matter of fact. Although really... who doesn't own these already? On the off chance you haven't played them yet, here's your chance.

Oblivion DLC Sale

If you've been putting off playing Shivering Isles, Knights of the Nine, or any other Oblivion expansions, now is the time. Bethesda has just announced that all of the Oblivion downloadable content is available for half price on XBox Live. Well, almost all of it... the infamous Horse armor pack has actually doubled in price. HAHAHA! Worthless Horse armor...

Gamers have the next week to take advantage of this offer. I've already got it all (yes, including the horse armor), so I guess I'll pass. But I do love Oblivion.

Yay New Content, Boo Bugs!

So the new Oblivion content, titled Fighter's Stronghold, is available today! If you plan on downloading it, do it NOW because it's free for the first week.

Being a big Oblivion fan, I've already downloaded it and begun playing. I had become ridiculously addicted to Oblivion for a while, but it's been a few months now since I played it. I spent MONTHS exploring, doing quests and completing the guild missions. I loved the game, but I actually left it with some bad memories because I ran into a bug that halted my progress with one of the Guild quests.

Basically, I completed a quest, received my award and was told to wait for the next quest... but my quest log never updated and the person who is supposed to give me the next quest won't give it to me. It's VERY frustrating because I've spent soooo much time with Oblivion and hate to see something like this happen. Plus, I'm playing the 360 version, so I want my achievements. Ah well. Someday maybe I'll replay the game and try to finish the Thieves Guild quest, but I've put in too much time with the game to start over now (making it even MORE frustrating). I've heard about a lot of people experiencing similar bugs, so be careful!!!

I'm having a blast playing Oblivion again... I think playing Two Worlds recently gave me a bit of a craving for it. I never quite finished all of Shivering Isles either, so maybe I'll jump back into Sheogorath while I'm at it.

  • Hire a vintner to create special wines to enhance your fighting abilities
  • Hire a combat trainer to spar with
  • Hire a taxidermist to craft lifelike trophies for your great hall
  • Purchase an ancient Dwemer Forge that buffs your Armorer skill

Fighter's Stronghold will be available for download starting October 15th for PC and Xbox 360. They will be giving it away free for one week, so make sure to jump right on top of it!

I've downloaded all of the Oblivion content now... and as much as I love Oblivion, part of me was glad to finally have the game behind me. Ah well, Oblivion, I can't quit you!!!

Oblivion PSP delay rumours

OblivionRumours are floating around that Oblivion for PSP will be significantly delayed and may even be on the verge of cancellation!

The team that is developing the game has apparently run into a lot of trouble and is far behind on development. GameStop.com is now showing that the game will ship in December, 03 2007, which is quite a bit later than the original release date of Spring 2007. However, a delay is still better than a cancellation for eager PSP fans.

Thanks to Kotaku for the info.

Shivering Isles is Here!!!

Shiv Elder Scrolls fans rejoice, the first full expansion to Oblivion has just been released!

The PC version of Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles is due in stores today with a retail price of $29.99. The Xbox 360 version of the game reportedly launched a day early and can be downloaded on Xbox Live for 2400 Microsoft points ($30).

Shivering Isles promises 30 hours of additional gameplay and the opportunity to explore the all new realm of Sheogorath, meaning Oblivion addicts like myself will be out of touch for the next few days.

Microsoft has scheduled some Xbox Live downtime today, so Xbox 360 owning Oblivion fans may find themselves unable to download the expansion right away.

Oblivion PS3 Dated

OblivionGamespot has confirmed from Bethesda that Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be released on the PS3 on March 20, 2007. The game was initially supposed to be a launch title, but just like the Xbox 360 version, saw last minute delays.

Thanks Gamespot.
