Big Brain!!!

Ok, so this isn't RPG-related at all. However, the game is enjoyable enough that I really thought it deserved some attention.

Anyway, I've been addicted to Big Brain Academy for a week or so now, and I'm going to suggest it to any Wii owners out there. It's not a perfect game, but it's mentally challenging and serves as a GREAT party game for those of us that actually have some friends. This game has kept me hooked to the point that I haven't been able to play any RPGs lately, and they're starting to pile up on me.

So, how big is your brain?

Square Loves the PS3

Despite dissappointing PS3 sales and no Square Enix titles on the platform to date, Square Enix character creator Tetsuya Nomura stated that he believes that the PS3 is the best system to help Square Enix reach their goal of quality games that allow developers to express their imagination.

Square Enix support on the Xbox 360 has been minimal, and while Nintendo appears to currently have the edge with Nintendo DS and Wii titles, this news might indicate that the tides will soon turn. Final Fantasy XIII is still headed for the PS3, and so far still promises to be PS3 exclusive. Although, Square Enix has also announced that the title will not be released this year.

A Sonic RPG?

Sega and BioWare have just announced that they are partnering to develop an RPG based on Sonic the Hedgehog. BioWare is among the hottest RPG developers around, creating titles like Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire and Mass Effect.

Little information has been announced about the game aside from that it will be an RPG for the DS and is currently due to be released in 2008.

Nintendo has been successful at creating RPGs about their flagship character, Mario. Can Sega do the same? Perhaps if anyone can help them do it, it's BioWare!
