Cazmo Halloween Concert

So I stopped by the Weezer Halloween concert in Planet Cazmo. As with most of these types of concerts, it was pretty silly. An avatar of the band walking around on a stage while the band's music plays.... doesn't sound like much of a concert to me! lol


Either way, the kids that attend these concerts absolutely love it! I do like Weezer and they played some pretty good music. So overall, it was a fun event.

Trying Out Second Life... Finally

I've been meaning to try out Second Life for a very, very long time... but had never actually gotten around to it. Well, tonight night I finally logged in and started exploring. A friend of mine is very familiar with Second Life and helped show me the basics.


It's a massive world with a lot going on, so I've obviously got a lot to learn still. So far, it's a lot of fun. I plan on returning to Second Life again and do some more exploring.

Weezer on Cazmo

Weezer is holding a virtual Halloween concerts on Planet Cazmo on Friday, October 30th and Saturday, October 31st.

Avatars of the band will be making an appearance on stage along with Weezer music. Attendees will be receiving free in-game Halloween goodies.

I do like Weezer, and I do have a Cazmo account, so I plan on trying to stop in. Youtube video advertising the event below:

Vampire's Assistant

I saw Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant last night.

It was silly and very cheesy, but surprisingly entertaining. If I was literate, I'd consider reading the books. Don't expect anything too serious out of it and you'll probably enjoy it. It's not as kid appropriate as I expected, though...

FR Halloween Dance

Looks like tonight Free Realms is looking to host the biggest virtual Halloween dance party ever. It will even be certified by the Guinness Book of World Records. Unfortunately I'm busy tonight, but I'll try and stop in for a peek. (Edit: I was wrong, this event starts Wednesday, October 21st. I showed up today and was the only one there!)

New Free Realms Comic

Just picked up the latest issue of the Free Realms comic, which comes with a code for a cool in-game item. The item in this issue is a re-usable healing item, so it's pretty handy... and better than the sword in the previous issue in my opinion.

I still haven't read the previous issue. Maybe I'll do that today...

On a side note, the I mentioned the Free Realms updates as of late. The game seems to be running really poorly for me lately and I've run into a few bugs. Although, the updates are awsome so I guess I can live with it.

Adam West is paying a visit to Habbo Hotel later today. Seems like a strange visit, but hey, I'm gonna try and stop in! Batman rocks. Here are the details:

Halo Fanboys

I haven't played Halo ODST... and don't intend to. I played through Halo 3, but never took it onto Xbox Live. So I guess I don't qualify as a Halo fanboy (thankfully). Check out this video... very funny!

Free Realms Updates

A ton of changes to Free Realms along with the latest update (and a few previous updates that I never mentioned...). I unfortunately haven't had a lot of time to play lately, so I may have missed out on a few recent changes. The second Free Realms comic has also recently been released, so I'll have to make sure to run out and buy that. Here's a rundown of some recent additions:

• Style cards - You can now purchase style cards to change your face paint, wings, and hair style! Very nice addition. See my new wings and facepaint in the pic? You can buy some cards from ships in Sanctuary and purchase more using Station Cash.


• Tons of new freebie codes - try these out: mmmdonut, berrycupcake, drinkmilk, EMD73DK, MILKRULES


• 5 million pack celebrating Free Realms reaching 5 million players, includes a party hat and other goodies. Just waiting for you to claim it if you haven't yet!


• New Soccer Game and new soccer job class - new job is for members only, but everyone can trial up to level 5


• Inspect feature - click another player to see their jobs, levels, and equipment


• You now earn coins as a pet trainer from perfect tricks


• Halloween decorations in Sanctuary. In the pic above you can get a sneak peek. A few pumpkins and spiderwebs in the background.


• Take Me There feature - during a Quest, click 'Take me there' to go straight to your destination

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs promo is now officially over. Gotta hand it to Sony Online Entertainment and Free Realms. I'm thoroughly impressed, not only by the quality of the game, but also by the consistent updates that keep things fresh and interesting.
