Square Enix Financial Reports
Square Enix has announced record sales for the 2006 fiscal year of $1.3 billion. However, actual profits were down 32%. The profit decrease is largely blamed on a lack of tax write offs. The 2006 fiscal year saw only $24.6 billion in tax write offs, compared to $74.1 billion the previous year.
In total, Square Enix shipped 16.9 million units of software to retailers during 2006. Square Enix also announced that Final Fantasy XIII will not be released in the current fiscal year.
